Things to Do 

Sparks is known for hosting many fantastic events and festivals throughout the year. Sparks Marina Park has a dog park and is perfect for kayaking, biking, kite flying, volleyball, and walking.

The West Nugget Rib Cook-Off is an annual competition involving St. Louis-style pork ribs. This event is sponsored by the Nugget Casino Resort and is held annually over Labor Day Weekend at Victorian Square.

Wild Island Family Adventure Park is a family-friendly attraction with a gaming arcade, thirty-six holes of miniature golf, a coconut bowl, laser mazes, interactive play structures, and forty bowling lanes. Celebrate America's love affair with cars during Hot August Nights. This annual event features classic cars manufactured before the 1970s and rock n' roll.
 
Wildcreek Golf Course measures 1,420 yards and is open to the public year-round. The course is well-maintained, and the holes' designs are favorable for beginner golfers. However, if you desire a more private golf course, swing your club at Red Hawk Golf and Resort, which is known for its dramatic elevation changes and deep bunkers, making its courses more challenging and exciting.
 
Music lovers head over to the Nugget Event Center for large outdoor concerts. This amphitheater is in the heart of Downtown Sparks and can accommodate up to 8,600 people. For a cultural event, Silver Club’s Big Easy features Louisiana-style cuisine, zydeco and live blues entertainment, street vendors, and crafts booths.
 
3rd Thursday at Victorian Square is a community event showcasing art and history displayed throughout Victorian Square. In collaboration with the Sierra Arts Foundation, the City of Sparks, and the Sparks Heritage Museum, this event is undoubtedly interactive, informative, and fun.
